Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. RateSmart Finance uses cookies in three categories:
1. Strictly necessary
Used for core site operation and to remember your cookie consent choice. These do not require consent and cannot be disabled.
2. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
GA4 sets cookies (names beginning with _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions so we can measure aggregate traffic. These are set only after consent where consent is required.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Google and its certified ad partners set cookies to serve ads, measure their performance, and — for users who consent — personalize them. Without consent (or for visitors who decline), Google serves non-personalized ads that use cookies only for frequency capping and fraud prevention. Your controls
- Consent banner: visitors in regions where consent is required can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner, and change their choice at any time through the “Privacy settings” link.
- Browser settings: all major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect site features.
- Google opt-outs: Google Ads Settings for ad personalization and the GA opt-out browser add-on for analytics.
