Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 5, 2026

This policy explains what data RateSmart Finance (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. We do not require accounts and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Information we collect

  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage: pages visited, approximate geographic region, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers. IP addresses are processed by Google and not made available to us in raw form.
  • Advertising data. This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including, for consenting users, personalized-advertising cookies) to serve and measure ads. See “Advertising” below.
  • Contact data. If you email us, we receive your email address and message content. We use it only to respond.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Consent for EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors (GDPR)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see a consent banner from a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising or analytics cookies are set. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time via the “Privacy settings” link in the banner. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (advertising and analytics cookies) and legitimate interest (site security and basic operation). You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. California residents may opt out via the cookie consent controls, the Google Ads Settings link above, or by contacting us. You also have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not discriminate against visitors who exercise these rights.

Cookies

For a list of the cookies used on this site and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

Data retention and security

Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. This site is served over HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
